One of the reasons that students choose Purdue is that the University offers a wide variety of classes and majors. We offer an abundance of study abroad programs, too, especially in the summer.
Students going abroad for the summer can choose from over 100 different options. Some programs work for students in multiple majors. For example, the CIEE Shanghai program, the IES Dublin program or the DIS Copenhagen programs each offer classes that students can apply to the requirements of a number of majors or minors. These programs are run by well-known study abroad provider agencies and are offered every year.
Another family of summer programs is more specialized. These are administered by Purdue professors, and their subject matter varies according to which professors are leading them. You can tell from the program names that options like Climate Change in the Arctic, or Urban Forestry in the United Kingdom, or Jamaica: The Dawn of a New Day in Agricultural Education will be a perfect fit for students in one particular area of interest.
