Previous editions of the Purdue Study Abroad Newsletter have pointed out the strong connection between the University and the Peace Corps. Many Purdue graduates have gone on to serve with the agency, and there are many Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) among the student body, faculty and staff, and in the surrounding community.
Here's an article about several RPCVs who are studying in Purdue’s Department of Communications. This comes from the Fall 2006 issue of The Communicator, the on-line newsletter of the Dept. of Communications.
Anyone in the Purdue community who is interested in becoming a Peace Corps Volunteer can contact Purdue’s Peace Corps representative in Chicago, Mr. Cliff Johnson at CJohnson2@peacecorps.gov , or 800-424-8580 (option #1), or 312-353-9094.
