The online application page for the US Student Fulbright grant will be open as of May 1.  Students wishing to go abroad for the 2008/9 academic year with the help of the grant need to apply by Sept. 28, 2007. This opportunity is open to:
  • Those who will have completed a BA or BS by the 2008/9 academic year
  • Those working on a Master’s or Ph D
  • Young professionals and artists

Participants usually design their own programs, but in addition to grants for self-designed programs, Fulbright also provides business-related grants, Language Training Initiative grants and English teaching assistantships.

The Grant supports 1200 + US citizens annually for a year of study, research, teaching experience or professional training in 140 + countries.

Completed applications for the 2008/9 academic year should be submitted to Dr. Brian Harley in the Office of Programs for Study Abroad, by Sept. 28, 2007.

Students need to be aware that the application process is rigorous.  Details at
