If you have ever thought that you would be interested in a career as a diplomat, or if you would simply like to learn about this kind of work, be aware that State offers several kinds of internships and other opportunities for students. You can read about the options here.

As you'll see from the web site, some opportunites are paid and others are not. There is also a wide variety in terms of the locations, housing options and tasks. In all cases, you need to apply several months in advance, so begin your research soon if you would consider doing this at some point in the next year.
