My Study Abroad
Scholarships

After applying to a study abroad program and accessing their own My Study Abroad page, students are able to apply for the awards listed below.  Most Purdue students in good academic standing are eligible to apply.  Eligibility is restricted to domestic students as defined by Purdue University.  Domestic students include U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, permanent resident aliens, and aliens lawfully present in and able to establish domicile in the U.S. per federal immigration laws.  International students who are holders of F, J and some other visa types are not eligible.  This competition is open to those participating in all Purdue programs overseas regardless of the duration or number of credit hours earned.

Deadline: March 1, 2010 for programs during Summer 2010, Fall 2010, and Academic Year 2010-2011.

Travel Grant

The Office of Programs for Study Abroad awards a limited number of Travel Grants to Purdue students to help with the added costs of studying overseas. In return, recipients will be expected to share their experiences with others to further global education and study abroad.

Andrew Roccella Memorial Scholarship

Roccella, and their friends and relatives, the Andrew Roccella Memorial Scholarship endowment has been established to remember in a very special way Andrew J. Roccella.  For more information about the history of this scholarship, click here.

Ebbeler International Scholarship

Through the generosity of Jonathan W. Ebbeler (Economics, 1995), the Ebbeler International Scholarship endowment has been established to support Purdue students participating in study abroad.  For more information, click here.

Other Funding for Overseas Study

Many Purdue colleges, schools, and departments offer study abroad scholarships to their majors.  A number of co-sponsoring organizations (CIEE, IES, etc.) also have funding available.

Students should also feel free to search the internet. There are many scholarship opportunities that are not necessarily listed on the Study Abroad website.  The following webpage may also be able to help you get started: http://www.vistawide.com/grants/grants.htm.
