Program Description


Students will spend eight days, seven nights in Costa Rica and will earn one Purdue credit. This course will focus on agricultural, community and environmental sustainability and will be co-led by our colleagues at EARTH University. Students will learn about efforts on renewable energies and waste management. Students will visit the National Biodiversity Institute, EARTH’s Banana Plantation & Packing Plant, Natural Reserve, and workshop on Peri-Urban Agriculture & Recycling Program. They will tour EARTH’s Ethnobotanical Gardens, and the Integrated Dairy Farm.
