Location:  Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) adjoins the mainland province of Guangdong and is comprised of Kowloon, the New Territories, an island named Hong Kong and 235 outlying islands. Hong Kong is one of the most densely populated areas in the world with a population of close to seven million people.

Language:  The official languages of Hong Kong are Chinese and English.  The language of instruction at City University of Hong Kong is English.

Eligibility

City University of Hong Kong

The program is open to Purdue students who have completed at least two semesters of university study by the start of the program. Successful candidates will demonstrate academic success, maturity and a desire to experience another culture.

GPA Requirement: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Language Requirement: none

If students complete courses while abroad from Purdue colleges that have not approved the program, they might be able to earn transfer credit for those courses. Students interested in pursuing transfer credit should discuss this with both their academic advisor and their study abroad advisor before applying to the program.

Housing

Financial Aid

The CUHK Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences offers Purdue students enrolled in that college a grant to cover housing costs.  This grant is not available to students enrolled in the College of Business, however.
