Hochschule Muenchen (HM) is Bavaria's largest university of applied sciences and the second largest in Germany. Located in the heart of a large, European, high-tech and research metropolitan region, HM is committed to the applied aspects of research, teaching and continuing education. Over 70 study programs at the bachelor's and master's level are offered at Hochschule Muenchen, by 500 faculty and about 1,300 staff. The current student body is about 18,000. Munich is the capital and largest city of the German state of Bavaria, on the River Isar north of the Bavarian Alps. The program is open to Purdue students in good standing who have completed at least two semesters of university study by the start of the program. MUAS provides all exchange students with helpful information on finding accommodation in Munich. Though MUAS does not own student residences, the Munich Student Union provides HM with a limited number of rooms for exchange students. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss. Students should carefully note what costs need to be paid to Purdue University or to a co-sponsor or agency, and what costs need to be paid at the overseas study location. This will vary by program. Along with the costs outlined below, students participating on exchange programs in Germany should expect to pay a semester contribution toward subsidized services at their host university. These fees range from approximately €75 to €350 per semester and typically include a pass for regional public transportation.
