ESTACA has become one of the leading engineering schools in France. It is regarded for the excellence of its aeronautical, automotive, railway, and aerospace engineering academic programs.  

The school is located in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, just 10 minutes from Versailles and 30 minutes from the Eiffel Tower. Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelinesis is an ideal student town with accommodation, restaurants, sport, and culture.  

During this one-month summer program you'll learn to learn and operate CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) tools to understand and predict aeronautical systems. 

The program combines teaching industrially relevant computational software and methods within a multicultural environment.

ESTACA- Summer Program
Inside ESTACA.
This program is open to Purdue AAE or ME students in at least their third year of  study. Students must also possess a basic knowledge of fluid mechanics. GPA Requirement: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Language Requirement: none

Students interested in completing courses while abroad from Purdue colleges or departments that are not listed above should discuss this with their study abroad advisor before applying to the program.

Academic Program

Students will take ALL of the courses offered on this program and will include the following:

-Aeronautical History (6 hrs)

-Fluid Mechanics (15 hrs)

-Turbulences (14 hrs)

-Aerodynamics (20 hrs)

-Computational Fluid Dynamics (24 hrs)

Additionally, students will participate in conferences and company visits.  Details about the courses can be found HERE.



The program fee also includes the following:

Company visits to Latmos, Ariane Space L:aunchers, Dassault, and others.

Cultural visits to Bateaux-mouches and Chateau de Versailles

Attending the conference on "Global Air Transport Market"

Housing is included in the program fee.

Students should carefully note what costs need to be paid to Purdue University or to a co-sponsor or agency, and what costs need to be paid at the overseas study location.  This will vary by program.

The first two Purdue students approved for the ESTACA- Summer Program in Aeronautical Engineering receive a reduced program fee (program fee is approximately US $1,250.00 in place of regular fee listed below).
