| Overview |
Today's global economy demands graduates with global perspective. The University College Dublin Summer Internship Program provides students with a challenging international business experience in a uniquely stimulating location: the modern European city of Dublin. This is a six credit program, three credits for the internship and three credits for the history or business course. The structure of the program is: The internship placements are of a very high quality and involve project based meaningful work assignments.

| Eligibility |
Students must have reached at least junior standing (completed four semesters of college) by the start of the program. Students who are juniors, but have switched majors to COM, CSR, MGMT, ECON, OLS, ID, or AT, need to have taken some classes from the new major in order to qualify for participation. Successful candidates will demonstrate academic success, maturity, and a desire to experience another culture.
GPA Requirement: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

Specifically from: OLS, Aviation Management, & Industrial Distribution (TECH) and ENTR (Interdisciplinary & Special Programs) If students complete courses while abroad from Purdue colleges that have not approved the program, they might be able to earn transfer credit for those courses. Students interested in pursuing transfer credit should discuss this with both their academic advisor and their study abroad advisor before applying to the program.

Social and cultural activities to learn more about Ireland and the Irish are offered throughout the summer and might include: - Wicklow Mountain Walk
- Hurling match
- Trip to the West of Ireland
- Castle Tour
- Irish Dancing
- Traditional Irish Music

|
Students should carefully note what costs need to be paid to Purdue University or to a co-sponsor or agency, and what costs need to be paid at the overseas study location. This will vary by program. UCD will invoice students for the program fee of € 3,800, which includes tuition fees for two courses/six credits, internship placement, and an extensive cultural program with excursions. Housing is not included in the program fee and will be an approx. € 1,300 more.

Students interested in receiving financial aid should NOTE: Recipients of certain tuition remission and scholarship programs should pay careful attention to the regulations for using those benefits for study abroad.
