Academic Program

Purdue students with advanced Chinese language ability will have no difficulty finding enough courses.

Semester programs in mechanical and electrical engineering are offered in English at the Joint Institute, a program affiliated with the University of Michigan.

Those with little or no Chinese language ability in majors other than ECE and ME may have difficulty finding a semester's worth of courses taught in English.

Students interested in this exchange program should check with their own academic unit to determine if special arrangements have been made for courses and/or research opportunities for Purdue students.

Students will be housed in single or double rooms at SJTU's residence halls. Each room is equipped with bath, direct-dial telephone, air-conditioner and Internet connection.

Students may prepare meals in shared kitchens or eat at various campus canteens.
