Uppsala University does not own any student housing. Instead, the university housing office acts as an intermediary with the housing organizations that offer rooms to students. Exchange students will complete a housing application form and the international office will forward this to the university housing office for a room assignment and housing contract. Student rooms are singles with their own WC and shower. A kitchen is usually shared with from four to twelve students living in the same corridor. Rooms are furnished with a bed and mattress, desk, chairs and a bookcase. Applicants will need to refer to the table of residential areas to learn about the locations, amenities and whether linens ("bed sets") are provided or not. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
