RMIT University's main campus is located in Melbourne's city center, within walking distance of shops, inexpensive cafés, pubs and cinemas. The Swanston Street tram provides excellent transportation throughout the city and makes frequent stops at RMIT. Trendy Brunswick Street, known for its coffeehouses, eateries and alternative scene, is in nearby Fitzroy. Additionally, Melbourne's Little Italy is easily accessible via a short walk or quick tram ride to Lygon Street, where students can enjoy more cafés, pizzerias and other ethnic foods. All Study Australia participants are eligible to participate in a number of excursions organized by the RMIT Education Abroad Unit and Study Australia resident directors. Popular trips include ones to Phillip Island, the Great Ocean Road, Mornington Peninsula and Wilson's Promontory. |

Students should carefully note what costs need to be paid to Purdue University or to an outside agency and what costs need to be paid after arrival at the overseas study location. This will vary by program. Program fee includes tuition, overseas health coverage (OSHC), 5-day arrival orientation program with meals and accommodations, excursions, airport pick-up and reception, host family introductions, & student guild/union fees. For full consideration, students must submit all supporting documents by the dates below. Popular programs fill quickly, often before the deadline. To insure a place in a program, apply as early. As soon as a student submits an on-line application, a My Study Abroad account is created. Consult the My Study Abroad page for the specific list of requirements for the chosen program since those can differ slightly from program to program. Applicants may also check on the status of their applications. After a student is approved for a program, s/he will receive additional information regarding any necessary supplemental paperwork, including any program-specific applications, and confirmation deposits.
