Milan Cathedral

This program, designed for beginning and intermediate Italian language students, is devoted to intensive language study

This program takes place at the IES Center in Milan, located on the campus of the Libera Università di Lingue e Comunicazione (IULM). IULM is one of Italy's leading universities for the study of language, literature and public relations. The IES Center is a modern, newly built facility and offers students many conveniences, including language laboratories, study rooms and an inexpensive student cafeteria that serves authentic Italian espresso. The program is organized in conjunction with IULM, Universitá Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (the Cattolica) a comprehensive private university, and Università Bocconi, Italy's most prestigious private business university.

Now the heart of modern Italy, Milan is a center for business and fashion industries. As one of only a few American programs in Milan, IES offers students the opportunity to integrate fully into the life of this modern Italian city through living, studying, and interacting daily with the local population and university students. Milan's central location provides students easy access to all major Italian as well as European cities.

While easily accessible for weekend trips to Rome and Florence, Milan does not attract the heavy tourism of these other Italian cities. IES Milan offers students an unparalleled opportunity to study in an Italian city that is not filled with the usual throng of American tourists and students.

Internships are available; please see the IES website for more information.

This page is referring to the Italy Today or Business Studies options. Students wishing to participate in IES' other option in Milan, such as enrolling in courses taught at any of the local universities, should check the IES web-site for any varying dates, fees, and application deadlines and speak to their study abroad advisor.

For more program information, please visit the program website. This program is sponsored by:IES.
