This program combines a semester as an exchange student at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) with a three-month internship in industry or in a university research facility. Purdue GEARE students take courses alongside Purdue students participating in the Engineering Term Abroad program. This allows students to complete their studies in May, allowing time to complete an internship in China during the summer months. 



This program is available to Engineering students participating in the GEARE program. 


GPA Requirement: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Language Requirement: 3 Sem Chinese

Academic Program
SJTU offers a selection of coursework in English including equivalencies for core requirements and technical electives. 

Students live in university housing and eat at cafeterias on the Minhang campus of SJTU.
