Overview
CIEE - Sao Paulo Liberal Arts

This program is administered by the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), a 200-university academic consortium. Purdue University has been a member of CIEE since 1972.

The CIEE Sao Paulo program has been designed for students who want to improve their Portuguese language skills; take courses in humanities, social sciences and natural sciences; and enjoy living in a large, cosmopolitan South American city.

Sao Paulo is the second largest urban area in the Americas and the business center of Brazil. The city has a modern public transportation system, a wide array of cultural venues, beautiful parks, shopping malls, vibrant nightlife and many distinct ethnic neighborhoods. At the same time the contrast between wealth and serious poverty is visible in some districts of the city.

CIEE Sao Paulo is hosted by the Universidade de Sao Paulo, a prestigious teaching and research university with close to 50,000 students. The campus is located in the Cidade Universitaria area of the city and includes four square kilometers of parks, woods and athletic facilities.

For more program information, please visit the program website. This program is sponsored by:CIEE.
