All outbound study abroad participants are required to attend a multi-part orientation program that includes a country- or program-specific Pre-departure Meeting. Your study abroad advisor should have given you the date, time, and place for this meeting.

Intercultural Effectiveness

Learning about other cultures is one of the central goals of studying abroad. This workshop will deal with strategies students can use to hasten cultural adaptation and have more successful intercultural interactions. We will talk about appreciating the nuances of culture, being more mindful of how you come across, and having the tools to deal with the stages of cultural adjustment.
