Come to JNSN B002 to get more information on the spring break 2017 program to Haiti: Health Care in Underserved Community: Cap Haitien
3–Credit Hour Service-Learning Elective. Students will work with American Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Haitian nationals to deliver primary healthcare to local residents in a variety of settings. Students will also have an opportunity to visit a local orphanage where they will interact with children. A visit to a local hospital will provide an opportunity to compare local healthcare delivery with that in the United States. Students will identify their own cultural norms and compare and contrast those norms to Haitian cultural norms.
