Program Proposal

  • Fall - March 15
  • Winter Flex - April 1
  • Spring Break - August 15
  • Summer - September 1

*New programs should "initiate" the program proposal at least 12 months in advance.  This will provide basic information to the study abroad office regarding intent to run a new program. Follow-up conversations will be coordinated with appropriate staff regarding program development. Completed proposals will need to be submitted by the posted deadlines.

It is beneficial for the recruitment for your program to submit proposals earlier than the posted deadline.

Recruiting for Study Abroad

Study Abroad Recruitment Session

This session is available for faculty/staff that are interested in discussing recruitment for study abroad programs.

Congrats! You’ve created a study abroad program. There’s a course for credit, accommodations, and an itinerary. Now you need to find students! But, not just any students. You need the students who want to participate; can & should participate; and those who will help ensure a positive experience for all.

Attend this session to start thinking holistically about how to recruit for your program. Through open dialogue with fellow program leaders, we aim to steer you towards success and plant seeds towards your own, personalized marketing plan. A co-presenter in this session will be Assistant Director of Study Abroad, Michael Bittinger. Dating back to 2011, Michael has designed, administered, and led programs in Costa Rica, Peru, and Italy.

This session was offered on September 14, 2023 at 3:00pm. View session recording below.
