Ms. Handel retired as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Applied Materials Inc. in January 2007. She had worked for the company in increasingly responsible roles since 1985. Applied Materials makes the equipment to make semiconductors and, in a recent move, solar power cells. Ms Handel was recognized for her work as CFO by Institutional Investor magazine which listed her among the "Best CFOs in America" in 2006 and by the Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards (2006) which recognized her community service.

  • February 1st for Summer study abroad programs
  • April 1st for Fall study abroad programs
