Hilary and Nick Steiner created a $1,500 award for students studying abroad in Asia, with an emphasis on language learning. Hilary (CLA '05) studied abroad in Japan for a full academic year, and Nick taught English in rural China post-university. The Office of Programs for Study Abroad will give preference to students who will study for a semester or full year in Asia, but will also consider applications for other study abroad locations.
