Program Description
ME 35400 Machine Design I in Prague is the same course taught on Purdue's campus (prerequisites apply and students must successfully complete prereqs prior to departure) Prof. Jitesh Panchal will be leading this course along with a TA.
Proposed Itinerary: Subject to change due to availability -cultural activities and day trip locations TBD.
May 9- Students depart the USA
May 10-Students arrive in Prague, airport pick up, transfer to shared apartments (students stay in shared apartments, with other Purdue students only)
May 11-Orientation, Welcome lunch, and city tour, free evening.
May 12-14- Class 9am-12pm lunch, afternoon homework and problem solving sessions, free evenings (cultural activities will be scheduled during non-class times througout the program)
May 15-16-Free weekend
May17-21- Class 9am-12pm lunch, afternoon homework and problem solving sessions, free evenings
May 22-23-Free weekend
May 24-28-Class 9am-12pm lunch, afternoon homework and problem solving sessions, free evenings
May 31-June 3-Class 9am-12pm lunch, afternoon homework and problem solving sessions, free evenings (June 3, Farewell Dinner)

Academic Credit
Earn 3 credits for ME 35400 Machine Design I.
Eligibility
Open to any student who has this course in their plan of study. ME 323 and ME 274 are prerequisites and must be completed prior to departure. All students must check with their academic advisor to be sure this course fits into their plan of study. Students must be in good standing with the university.
No students on Academic Notice will be considered.
Program Cost
Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss.
Estimated cost is: TBD but estimated to be between $5800-$6100. Program price will include: Housing, 3 academic credits, transportation pass in Prague, all cultural excursions listed on the itinerary, welcome and farewell meals, and international health insurance.
Additional costs: Airfare, meals, travel documents, personal spending money, and personal activities.
