2026 MAYMESTER IN GERMANY: BERLIN & FRANKFURT
HISTORY AND DANCE IN GERMANY: creative expression, experiential, and historical context
The Department of Theatre and Dance is excited to offer a unique opportunity for students across campus in a Maymester 2026 Study Abroad Program to Germany. Faculty members Kathleen Hickey and Renee Murray will facilitate this journey and teach classes offered in German Dance and History. This five credit course fulfills requirements for the Interdiscliplinary Performance Major, Dance Minor, German Major and Minor, the aesthetic awareness requirement, and the University Core Humanities Requirement.
Students do not need any previous dance experience, just an interest in the course, an openness to learn about a new culture, and a willingness to move.
This program is open to all majors and does not have a language requirement.
This program is open to all majors and does not have a language requirement. There are no pre-requisites for this program. There is no minimum G.P.A. requirements for this program.
Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss.
Estimated cost is $4,500 without airfare.
The application deadline for this study abroad is December 19, 2025.
