Students in front of the Eiffel Tower
Study international marketing and brand management in Paris, one of the world’s great cities—home to Global Fortune 500 companies and luxurious brands, as well as sidewalk cafés, stunning gardens, outdoor markets, and more.
As an important international business center that boasts one of the highest GDPs of any city, Paris is an ideal city to study Marketing.
The program will expand your understanding of the marketplace for luxury brands and the marketing of products from around the world. Using examples like Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, and Dom Pérignon, you will gain an educational experience that you couldn’t get at your home campus.

Students interested in completing courses while abroad from Purdue colleges or departments that are not listed above should discuss this with their study abroad advisor before applying to the program.
The IES courses will expand your understanding of global marketing by using the many examples that Paris has to offer.
Possible courses include the following:
- Introduction to Global Marketing (3 credits)
- Business Ethics (3 credits)
Course offerings are subject to change, but this program typically only has two courses and students will take both. Please see IES website for more course details.
Courses also incorporate course-related trips that will further expose you to Paris, its culture, and the city’s place as a major center of international business.
This program has two housing options:
Homestays – You stay in a French home in the city of Paris or its surrounding banlieues (suburbs). You eat breakfast daily and three evening meals per week with your host(s). Other meals are available at university cafeterias and inexpensive restaurants. You have the option to request a typical homestay placement or a placement in a chambre de bonne.
Apartments – A limited number of apartments are available for an additional fee. Apartments include kitchen facilities and shared bathrooms. An IES Abroad Resident Assistant lives on-site. Meals are not included.
Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss. Students should carefully note what costs need to be paid to Purdue University or to a co-sponsor or agency, and what costs need to be paid at the overseas study location. This will vary by program. Program fee includes tuition and on-site orientation.
Housing fee includes placement in a host family with 10 meals per week. Students who choose the apartment housing option will be charged an additional $800 and should budget additional money for food as no meals are included.
