Program Description
This study abroad program to Jordan and Cyprus offers students an immersive opportunity to examine the dynamic relationship between Urban Innovation and Modern Tourism. By engaging directly with archaeological like Petra alongside the expansive, and historically rich, tourist industry of Cyprus, students will explore how cultural heritage, geography, and economic forces shape societies across time. Through guided site visits, lectures, and comparative analysis, participants will critically assess the preservation of historical identity in rapidly modernizing contexts and consider the cultural, political, and environmental implications of urban growth and tourism.

This program is open to students of all academic majors
Program Cost
Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss.
$3500 - estimated. Including airfare, excursions, and in-country travel.
