Overview
ISM University of Management and Economics

ISM University of Management and Economics is an institution of undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate education in business, management and economics. The University serves as an advanced centre of market analysis, executive training and leading academic thought.

ISM University of Management and Economics was established in 1999 as the first privately owned institution of management education in Lithuania. The main founders of ISM are BI Norwegian Business School and The Norwegian Industrial and Regional Development fund. The predecessor of ISM was the Business Training Centre, well-known executive training institution in Lithuania.

Since the 1995, when the Business Training Centre took the beginning, the main motive power was to contribute to the development of Lithuanian business community in providing up to date management knowledge. By offering a variety of executive courses, management training programs, market research, personnel evaluation, BMC was recognized as a leading institution of management training and consulting in Lithuania. Now BMC is the training and consulting department at ISM.

Eligibility

ISM University of Management and Economics

The program is open to Purdue students who have completed at least two semesters of university study by the start of the program. Successful candidates will demonstrate academic success, maturity and a desire to experience another culture.

GPA Requirement: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

If students complete courses while abroad from Purdue colleges that have not approved the program, they might be able to earn transfer credit for those courses. Students interested in pursuing transfer credit should discuss this with both their academic advisor and their study abroad advisor before applying to the program.

Academic Program

ISM University of Management and Economics offers three undergraduate programmes in English:

  • International Business and Communication
  • Economics and Politics
  • Industrial Technology Management

Housing
ISM refers exchange students to a variety of housing options at reduced rates:  residence hall, hostel or hotel. Students sign leases directly with the dormitories.
