Overview
EAFIT University was founded on 1960 by a group of entrepreneurs with the purpose of bring up suitable professionals aware of their responsibility with the country. Today, EAFIT is a cutting-edge university that offers 19 undergraduate programs, 3 doctorates, 21 master’s degree programs and more than 60 graduate certificate programs, as well as continuing education programs, language courses, and more.

Eligibility
The program is open to Purdue students in good standing who have completed at least two semesters of university study by the start of the program. Successful candidates will demonstrate academic success, maturity, and a desire to experience another culture.

EAFIT offers coursework in management, engineering, humanities, law, economics, finance, and sciences. Courses are taught in Spanish, with some being taught in English.
Please note that not every course is offered in English, and there are more English-taught courses available in business areas.
Students may also enroll in a class at EAFIT's language school to study Spanish, though these courses are not included in the exchange program and will incur an extra fee. This program is not suitable for students wanting to take several courses towards a Spanish major or minor.
Housing
Universidad EAFIT does not have student housing on campus but the following options are available in close proximity to the university.
Furnished apartment: Apartments completely equipped with furniture, kitchenware and bed linen, among other furnishings.
Shared apartment: Expenses (utilities, cleaning, clothes washing and ironing, among others) are shared with other students.
Host family: Families in Medellin are interested in receiving international students as houseguests. The monthly cost of the room depends on the services provided (full or partial meal plan, washing and ironing of clothes, etc.).

Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss. Students should carefully note what costs need to be paid to Purdue University or to a co-sponsor or agency, and what costs need to be paid at the overseas study location. This will vary by program.
