FZD School of Design was established by industry veteran Feng Zhu in 2009. For more than 14 years, Feng Zhu has contributed to some of the highest profiled projects in the entertainment industry. His broad design skills allowed him to reach across into many fields from hit movies, to triple-A games, memorable TV commercials and toy designs. The program is open to Purdue students who have completed at least two semesters of university study by the start of the program. Successful candidates will demonstrate academic success, maturity and a desire to experience another culture.

Academic Program

FZD School of Design is founded on the principle of providing the best possible training for our students. We have prepared a one year program specifically designed for individuals looking for a career in the entertainment design industry. The year-long program is separated into three terms.

The courses cover a broad range of topics from basic fundamental understanding to advanced design and rendering techniques. Students will graduate with a vast array of professional skills and an industry ready portfolio. Course details can be found here.

Students can only receive credit for this program through the A&D department in the College of Liberal Arts and should consult their academic advisor to ensure credit from A&D will satisfy their requirements. 

Students must find their own housing in Singapore and provide their own meals, housing and meals are not provided on this program.

Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss. 

Students should carefully note what costs need to be paid to Purdue University or to a co-sponsor or agency, and what costs need to be paid at the overseas study location.  This will vary by program.

Please note this program is a full-year program, which FZD divides into 3 terms. Costs below have been divided into two semesters (fall and spring at Purdue). For full cost of year-long program, multiply costs below by 2.
