Overview
Students applying for programs in Spain must have a valid, useable passport at the time of application. Passports must be valid for 6 months after the program end date.

Eligibility
Students applying for programs in Spain must have a valid, useable passport at the time of application. Passports must be valid for 6 months after the program end date.
The program is open to Purdue students in good standing who have completed at least two semesters of university study by the start of the program. Successful candidates will demonstrate academic success, maturity, and a desire to experience another culture. Prior Spanish language coursework or experience is recommended.

Students interested in completing courses while abroad from Purdue colleges or departments that are not listed above should discuss this with their study abroad advisor before applying to the program.
Academic Program
- Language of instruction: Spanish & English
- Semester course load: 12 Purdue credit hours minimum
- Over 130 available courses taught in English
- Students must take the majority of their courses in the hosting school
- Some Schools may have prerequisites concerning course selection
- It is important to make sure that your selected courses are taught during the semester you plan to attend
- Class availability cannot be confirmed until enrollment, once students have arrived at UPV
- Prior Spanish language coursework or experience is recommended
Excursions
When not enjoying the city of Valencia, join in on excursions coordinated by the UPV Exchange Office. Past events have included a visit to Hogueras de San Juan, a bike/ boat trip to Albufera, and a paella festival in Gandia.
Housing
Live in a shared student apartment, with a local host family, or in student dormitories. Costs and meal availability vary by option.

Students should carefully note what costs need to be paid to Purdue University or to a co-sponsor or agency, and what costs need to be paid at the overseas study location. This will vary by program.
