Program Description

This three (3)-credit experience will expose students to the innovative scientific discoveries and invention by the people of Morocco.  Students will also be provided an overview and backgroun on geography, culture, food, politics and traditions. The class will explor principle culture, customs, traditions and events of Moroccan people. Because this class is being held in a real-world learning laboratory, students will be expcted to incorporate what they learn along the way into their intercultural development and assignments. Academic Credit

Student will receive three (3) credit, course is listed as Science (Sci) 295.

Eligibility

All students in good standing with the University and with student conduct are welcome to apply. Priority will be provided to College of Science Scholars.

Program Cost

Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss.

The average cost of this experience is $4,400. College of Science students who are enrolled in the Learning Beyond the Classroom Certificate program may be eligible for another $500 grant. Consult Dr. Laura Starr for more information about this LBC grant.

Application Deadline

Applications from students from the College of Science and other colleges are welcome. Once a student applies, they will be sent a link to a Qualtics survey which will help us assess your interest in this program. Spots in the program of students accepted on or after October 1 will be guaranteed upon receipt of proof of deposit, first-come-first-served. (If you were accepted before October 1, your spot is guaranteed for two weeks from date of acceptance, by which time a deposit should be received.)
