Program Description

Barcelona and Valencia are well known for innovative building design that spans history from Roman times through modern day construction. The opportunity to visit many of these landmark structures and discuss their influence on society will be of interest to students of many backgrounds.


Academic Credit

Three Purdue study abroad credits.

Eligibility

Open to All Purdue Students

Perfect for students in the following Purdue programs 1) Design and Construction Integration (DCI), 2) Interior Design, and 3)Construction Management as well as any student interested in history or the global impacts of the built environment.

Program Cost

Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss.

The program cost will be approximately $1,100.  This does not include airfare, passport, meals (some meals provided), and money for souvenirs, etc..

Application Deadline

November 10, 2023

You will be required to submit a resume and a 1 page essay on 1) why you would like to attend the trip, 2) how it will support your studies and career, and 3) what you would like to see while in Barcelona and Valencia.  I will also plan to do an interview with each applicant in November.
