Program Description

Join Professor Guillermo Paniagua and Professor Beni Cukurel of Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, for a course in "Fundamentals of Aero-Thermal Measurement Techniques"

Course topics include theoretical and experimental investigation of:

  • Thermocouples and RTD's including their transient response -
  • Infrared thermography including its dependency to viewing angle and emissivity -
  • Cooling technologies that involve conduction and convection -
  • Flow meters and pump performance -
  • Schlieren photography

Explore the surrounding cities of Haifa, Akko, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Masada-Dead Sea!

3 credits in ME 497 - Fundamentals in Aerothermal Measurement Techniques

Eligibility

The course is open to: Sophomores-Seniors in ME and AAE who have attended (or will attend in Fall 2018) a course equivalent to ME 309, ME 315, AAE 333, and AAE 334

Program Cost

Program cost is all inclusive with housing, Air, Meals, excursions, insurance, course credits, and ground transportation.  Approximate cost is $3867.  If you qualify for the Purdue Moves Scholarship, that price will be approximately $3367.  International students are no longer eligible for the Purdue Moves Scholarships.  Please watch the website for updates.
