Academic Program

Students participating in the Cumbayá Program are able to choose their courses from across USFQ's ten colleges. However, please note that only specific areas at Purdue have approved coursework for direct credit (see credit section above). USFQ offers hundreds of courses each semester in Spanish and in English. Spanish language classes at all levels are also offered to international students.

Please note that not all classes are available in English. Students with enough language proficiency may also choose to take classes taught in Spanish. Students wanting all coursework in English should be prepared with back-up course options in case their first choice courses are not offered in English.

To get an idea of programs and potential courses offered, you can explore the Academic Programs available at UFSQ here.

Housing

USFQ matches interested international students with carefully screened host families in Quito. Host families are required to provide students with their own bedroom (bathroom may be shared), Wifi internet access, and two meals per day (breakfast and dinner). Host families generally live within a 15 to 45-minute commute by public transportation from the USFQ campus in Cumbayá valley.
