Program Description

Tentative Program dates:  May 10-June 4, 2020

Join Prof. Okan Ersoy in stunning Prague, Czech Republic in May 2020.  Prague is widely known as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe (it was never bombed during WWII).  This growing country is only 30 years removed from the "Velvet Revolution" that ended Communism in the former Czechoslovakia.  You will learn about the fascinating history of this ever changing country.  Visit the Old Town Square and listen the chiming of the Astronomical Clock, first installed in 1410 or learn about the history of Bohemia.  You can find free concerts (Mozart lived here), an endless supply of gorgeous architecture to explore,  the Jewish Quarter, the Charles Bridge, and much more! 

-Students will have class each weekday (9am-12pm tentatively) with evenings and weekends free

-Program highlights include: 

  • Day trip to Kutna Hora
  • At least 2 cultural excursions in Prague (TBD) 
  • Guided visit to the Museum of Communism 
  • Welcome and Farewell Meals 
  • City Tour 
  • Extensive Health & Safety Orientation after arrival 
  • Airport pick-up upon arrival 

 

Students will be housed in shared apartments in Prague.  A public transportation pass is included in the program fees. 

 

Academic Credit

Earn 3 credits for ECE 300100.  Please check with your academic advisor to see how this course can be used in your plan of study. 

Eligibility

Students in any engineering school are eligible to apply.  Student must be in good standing with the university.  No academic probation 

Program Cost

The program fee is estimated at $3900 which includes : Housing, three academic credits, airport pick-up upon arrival, Cultural excursions listed, city transportation pass, Welcome and Farewell meals, International Health Insurance, and 24/7 Emergency and crisis support.


Additional expenses: Airfare, Passport, Visa (if non-US Citizen), most
meals, and personal spending money

Application Deadline
