Ecole d'Ingenieurs de PURPAN in this program will spend eight weeks in France, including one month at PURPAN and one month living/working on a farm involved in agriculture, natural resources, or food science.

ON-CAMPUS PROGRAM

The first four weeks is spent on the campus of PURPAN.  While on the campus you will study intensive French in addition to completing course modules on plant an animal agriculture, agricultural economics, and food science.  (You do not have to have had previous French language experience.)  Students will also participate in field trips and cultural excursions. 

HOMESTAY/INTERNSHIP

The next four weeks students live with a host family while participating in a work experience.  In the past, students have worked in wineries, vineyards, small cheese processing/agribusinesses, farms, as well as participating in research programs on the campus of PURPAN.  Students will earn six credits on this program.

In addition to Purdue students, students from the University of Illinois, Kansas State University, Colorado State University, Washington State University, Michigan State University, University of Missouri,University of Florida, Monterrey Tech, and ITESO also participate.
