Program Description
This comparative experience is part of the Higher Education doctoral program curriculum and offers registered Ph.D. participants the opportunity to engage in collaborative and comparative research with peers and faculty from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.
The target audience is the H.E. doctoral cohort students. Doctoral/Ph.D. level students from other programs may apply if their research aligns with comparative higher education issues. For intereseted Ph.D. students outside the Higher Education program, an interview will be required as part of the paplication process. As this experience is an integral part of the doctoral program, and is connected to two of the summer courses, the Purdue H.E. faculty (as well as faculty partners from Trinity College) are committed to building and growing the international experiences for this area.
Academic Credit
Higher Education cohort members will receive 1 academic credit for EDST 61300.
Eligibility
This program is available for Higher Education doctoral cohort students. Doctoral/Ph.D. level students from other programs may apply if their research aligns with comparative higher education issues. For intereseted Ph.D. students outside the Higher Education program, an interview will be required as part of the paplication process. All students participating in a departmental program will complete a pre and post assessment as part of program completion.

Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss.

The program fee includes all curricular activities, in-country travel (programmic only), housing, and group meals (number to be determined).
The fee does not include airfare to and from Ireland, social/non-curricular or programmic expenses, all daily meals.
