ISAE-SUPAERO (Institut Supérieur de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace) is a French grande école of engineering, founded in 1909.  It was the world's first aeronautical engineering institute and is considered one of the best in Europe in the field.  Since its creation, their graduates have played a trailblazing role in the technological and industrial development of the aerospace sector, making France and Europe a global aerospace leader.  They work closely with up to 600 industrial partners.  It is located in Toulouse, the aerospace capital of France.

Ebullient Toulouse is the capital of the Midi-Pyrénées and the fourth-largest city in France.  Just 100 km (60 miles) from the border with Spain, Toulouse is in many ways closer in flavor to southern European Spanish than to northern European French.  Weathered redbrick buildings line sidewalks, giving the city its nickname, "La Ville Rose" (the Pink City).

Downtown, the sidewalks pulse late into the night with tourists, technicians from the giant Airbus aerospace complex, and—since this is the country's second-largest university center—loads of students.  The University of Toulouse is one of the oldest in Europe (founded in 1229) and, with more than 103,000 students, it is the fourth-largest university campus in France, after the universities of Paris, Lyon and Lille.  So be prepared to savor the city's Mediterranean pace, southern friendliness, and youthful spirit.

The program is open to undergraduate students in the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics who will have junior or senior standing by the start of the program. Applicants should be in good standing. Successful candidates will demonstrate academic success, maturity, and a desire to experience another culture.
