Buenos Aires offers the best of big-city living with fascinating social and economic dynamics. Enjoy world-class theater, music, film, sports, and museums, or simply people-watch while sipping coffee at a sidewalk cafe. Participants take classes IFSA's study center and have the option to take to one class at a local Argentine university. This program has two options:
Program activities are designed to enhance intercultural competence by developing understanding of the local culture and people. Activities are optional, but they are included in the total program fee. They vary each term based on availability, but activities may include:

The program is open to Purdue students in good standing who have completed at least two semesters of university study by the start of the program. IFSA excursions are included in your total program fee and though these are optional, most students choose to participate. They vary each term based on availability, but excursions may include:

Housing | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
HOMESTAY A homestay is with a local family and includes three meals per day. Only one IFSA student is placed with each family. Students will have a single bedroom with a bed, shared bathroom, and a desk or other designated place to study. Laundry is included. APARTMENTS | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Estimated Program Costs | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss. Students should carefully note what costs need to be paid to Purdue University or to a co-sponsor or agency, and what costs need to be paid at the overseas study location. This will vary by program. The Program Fee includes tuition, emergency medical insurance, on-site orientation and airport pick-up, excursions, and activities. The Housing Fee includes housing with a host family and three meals per day. Students electing to live in self-catered apartments (i.e. no meals included) will be charged a supplemental housing fee by IFSA. Costs for this program are estimated and subject to change. For full consideration, students must submit all supporting documents before or by the application deadline. Popular programs fill quickly, often before the deadline. To insure a place in a program, apply early. As soon as a student submits an online application, a My Study Abroad account is created. Applicants should consult this page often to check on the status of the application.
