Program Description
Based on a successful course offering in 2023, Smart Mobility in Europe will cover the latest advances in transportation in four cities in Germany and Czechia with an emphasis on shared mobility, autonomous transportation and electrification. Two weeks in Europe visiting various universities, industries, and experiencing real-world transportation. Students will reflect upon real-world transportation challenges, critically analyze them and experience them across various modes. Course participants will document their findings in a journal that they will submit at the end of the course.

Academic Credit
Earn 3 credits for CE 49700. Students must check with their academic advisor to see how this course can be used in their plan of study.
Eligibility
Open to all Engineering students who have reached at least the sophomore level through seniors. Preference given to Civil Engineering students, but all are encouraged to apply.
Program Cost
Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss.
The program fee is estimated $4,000, which includes: Housing, airport pick up and ground transportation in country, all course and cultural activities on the itinerary, breakfast daily, two dinners, Three academic credits, and international health insurance.
Additional expenses: Airfare, meals, Passport, Personal spending money.
