Trinidad and Tobago, known for its stunning landscapes and diverse cultures, provides an ideal backdrop for an unforgettable educational experience. This immersive journey will allow you to:

  1. Understand the cultural and ecological diversity of Trinidad and Tobago.
  2. Identify the global significance and historical evolution of unique cultural and ecological practices.
  3. Appreciate the role of conservation and sustainable tourism in preserving natural and cultural heritage.

This study abroad class is open to students from all backgrounds and disciplines who share a passion for culture and adventure. No prior cultural experience is required – just a desire to learn and explore.


All students participating in a departmental program will complete a pre and post assessment as part of program completion.

Program Cost

Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss.

The cost is $3,300 which includes airfare, luggage, accommodations, in-country transportation, all activities, and some meals.
