Program Description
The 'Engineering in the Southern Cone: Buenos Aires and Patagonia' study abroad program is driven by the unique educational opportunities provided by its location and its alignment with the program's learning outcome goals. Through this program, we aim to broaden students' horizons, foster critical thinking, and deepen their understanding of engineering practices in a global context. Argentina, particularly Buenos Aires and the Patagonia region, offers a rich cultural experience. Buenos Aires is known for its vibrant arts, music (including tango which has permeated into the many world cultures including the US), and culinary scenes, while Patagonia boasts stunning natural beauty. Exposing students to diverse cultures enhances their cross-cultural communication skills, a key learning outcome goal.
