Program Description

The College of Science is offering an exciting opportunity for students to spend Spring Break 2024 exploring science, technology and innovation in Berlin, Germany! Explore artificial intelligence and technology in museums, tour research centers and experience an exciting culture in one of the largest tech hubs in all of Europe!

Academic Credit

Students will register for SCI 295: Technology and Innovation (P/NP) and earn 1 credit. 


The program is open to undergraduate students with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Priority will be given to computer science, data science, and artificial intelligence majors, but all majors are welcome to apply. 

Program Cost

Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss.

Application Deadline

The application for this spring break trip is officially open! As stated above, priority will be given to CS/DS/AI majors, but all majors are welcome to apply. Applications will be reviewed by the program leader, and you will receive an email once accepted into the program. Please note that space in this program is limited. You are encouraged to pay your deposit for the program once you are accepted in order to secure your spot. The priority deadline to apply and pay your deposit is Friday, October 20th. Depending on space availability, the program application will remain open through November with a final application deadline of Friday, December 1st
