2024 MAYMESTER IN GERMANY: BERLIN & DRESDEN

STUDY ABROAD IN DANCE HISTORY AND CHOREOGRAPHY: creative expression, experiential, and historical context

 

 

Academic Credit

 

The Division of Dance is excited to offer a unique opportunity for students across campus in a Maymester 2024 Study Abroad Program to Germany. Faculty members Kathleen Hickey and Renee Murray will facilitate this journey and teach classes offered in Dance History and Choreography. These 300 level , 3 credit courses fulfill requirements for the dance minor, the aesthetic awareness requirement, and Dance History fulfills the University Core Humanities Requirement. 

Students do not need any previous dance experience, just an interest in the course, an openness to learn about a new culture, and a willingness to move.

This program is open to all majors and does not have a language requirement.

Eligibility

This program is open to all majors and does not have a language requirement. There are no pre-requisites for this program. There is no minimum G.P.A. requirements for this program. 

Program Cost

Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss.
