Program Description

Huayu Best is an intensive language program that permits students to study at the Mandarin Training Center (MTC) at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) for varying amounts of time. This program creates new avenues for Purdue students to engage both in language training and industry partnerships through this university connection in Taiwan. The program will be administered by NTNU and students who participate will study varying levels of Chinese language (101-402) for 6-9 credits over a 1-3 month period during the summer.

• June 17, 2024 – August 9, 2024

One-month program

• June 17, 2024 – July 12/ July 15 - August 9, 2024

Academic Credit

Students will take a placement test upon arrival in at National Taiwan Normal University. Once placed, students can earn credit for CHNS101-402. Each course involves 15/week of class time. 

Outside of class, NTNU offers a variety of extracurricular activities for international students and weekends will be free for students.

This program is open to all Purdue majors and no prior knowledge of Chinese is required.

Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss.
