Program Description

This is a 10-day program in Japan to take place in Winter Session 2024/2025. The destinations are Tokyo and Nagoya, and the planned activities include visits to historical/cultural sites and a family home to experience Japanese New Year's, a cooking class, etc.


Academic Credit

The course number is JPNS 49000, 3 credit. It counts as an elective for Japanese major/minor.

Eligibility

No prior Japanese language knowledge is required.

You must be a contiuning student during winter session term to participate (incoming or re-entry students cannot take a winter session course).

Program Cost

Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss.

Estimated cost $3,140. This does not include airfare, but includes study abroad fee, accommodations, breakfast daily, travel insurance, admissions for most attractions, cooking class, guided tours, transportation including bullet trains, and Welcome & Farewell dinners.
