Overview
In a city known for its cultural and social diversity and richness, Buenos Aires combines European style with its Latin heritage. As the capital city, it’s also the financial, industrial and commercial hub of Argentina, and home to more than 10 million residents.
As an Engineering major, you’ll find this cosmopolitan city the ideal place to learn how to apply engineering solutions in a global context. Choose from courses available at the CEA CAPA Buenos Aires Center, or at the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA), regarded as one of the best engineering schools in Latin America.

Eligibility
The program is open to Purdue students in good standing who have completed at least two semesters of university study by the start of the program. Successful candidates will demonstrate academic success, maturity, and a desire to experience another culture.

Academic Program
Purdue students will take two classes on the program and earn 6-8 credits.
All students will take a required Physics course at ITBA, Physics II with Lab, equivalent to PHYS 241 at Purdue.
In addition, students will take an additional liberal arts course to help them understand more about where they are studying. Students may choose from two classes:
- Culture & Civilization of Argentina
- Sport & Culture in Contemporary Argentina
Classes meet 2-4 days per week, Monday-Thursday. Active learning components required by your courses may be scheduled for Fridays.
Excursions
CEA CAPA will arrange several group activities and excursions to help you make the most of your program, which may vary depending on availability.
Housing
CEA CAPA will arrange housing for all students, and you'll be able to choose between an apartment or living with a local family.
