This unique study abroad experience combines 12 credits of academic learning, professional training and an immersive cultural experience over a 6-month period (mid-May through November) at one of several five-star luxury hotels located in China.

This program is financially sponsored by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts and other Purdue corporate partners. The corporate sponsorships pay for most of the program expenses including international airfare, room and board, stipends and other benefits.

Academic Credit

Participants who successfully complete the program will earn 12 credit hours towards an HTM degree or a CSR degree. Talk with your advisor for more details.

Program Cost

Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss.

Estimated Program Fee: $9,500-$9,900 including tuition, international airfare, and room and board.

Participants may be eligible for a Purdue University study abroad scholarship.

Students are encouraged to submit the application to their academic advisor as early as September 1, 2019 but no later than November 20, 2019. On average, 12 internships are available each year. Offers are usually made within six weeks of receiving the application.
