University College Dublin (founded in 1851) is Ireland’s largest university with over 30,000 students. The main campus is situated at Belfield, a 360 acre site 3 miles south of Dublin’s city centre.

UCD has over 100 years experience in student centred teaching and industry leading research, and has a reputation as a friendly and close-knit community.  The Faculty of Agriculture offers nine degree programs in areas such as production agriculture, food science, environmental science, engineering technology, agribusiness management, forestry, horticulture, animal science, turf science, and rural development.  The Agri-Food sector is Ireland’s most important indigenous industry and UCD is the only Irish university offering the Bachelor of Agricultural Science (BAgrSc) degree. Over half of our 800 undergraduate students are from urban or non-farm backgrounds, reflecting the wide range of degree options available within the Faculty of Agriculture.
