Program Description

Call out is Wednesday, January 17 at 4:30 in DUDL 3456. 

This two-week, interdisciplinary program includes lectures and demonstrations on various energy technologies; presentations on European and German history, geography, and culture; industrial tours; and sightseeing excursions to Berlin and Hamburg.   Our hosts are faculty at Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences in Wolfenbuettel, Germany (near Braunschweig).  This course should be of interest to students in various majors, especially engineering and technology.  Students from universities in Europe and Asia typically also participate.

Students will receive 3 credit hours in TECH 48155. 

Eligibility

Students applying for this program must be in good standing at Purdue University.  

Program Cost

Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss.

Current estimated cost for the program:

$1,500 for fees to Purdue.   This includes the course, lodging, transportation for program-led excursions, and many of the meals. 

$1,500 for airfare (purchased individually by the student as many are not flying directly back to Purdue)

$ 300 for other expediture - meals, souvenirs, etc.

This program is eligible for study abroad scholarship funding.  PURDUE MOVES SUMMER/SHORT TERM SCHOLARSHIP
