Overview

London College of Fashion is the only college in the UK to specialize in fashion education, research and consultancy.  The philosophy of all courses is to offer creative development alongside a strong vocational slant.  The expertise of the highly experienced industry professionals ensures that students are kept aware of changing demands and opportunities within the fashion industry. 

LCF is one of the six constituent colleges of the University of the Arts London, fully accredited by the UK Department for Education and Science.  Arts London is Europe's larget university for art, design, fashion, communication and the performing arts.  LCF is housed in six different sites.

This program is open to retail and apparel design majors only.

GPA Requirement: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

If students complete courses while abroad from Purdue colleges that have not approved the program, they might be able to earn transfer credit for those courses. Students interested in pursuing transfer credit should discuss this with both their academic advisor and their study abroad advisor before applying to the program.

Academic Program

This program is especially designed for study abroad students.  Participants will follow a certain number of mandatory units and choose specialist elective options.

Excursions

All participants will spend five days Paris; the costs for this excursion are included in the program fee.  The itinerary will likely include visits to shops (Louis Vuitton, Didier Ludot, Colette, Chanel), department stores (Bon marché, Printemps), museums (Musee D'Orsay, Louvre, Carnavalet), neighborhoods (Marais, Montmartre, Latin Quarter) and famous sites (Champs Elysees, Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel tower).

Housing

LCF assists program participants in finding housing in the general vicinity of the college.  You need to apply for housing as soon as possible because availability is restricted.

Estimated Program Costs

Students should carefully note what costs need to be paid to Purdue University or to a co-sponsor or agency, and what costs need to be paid at the overseas study location.  This will vary by program.

The current program fee is £6,500. These estimates below are useful for planning purposes, but are subject to change due to currency exchange rate fluctuation and inflation. Students should regard these figures as approximate amount.

The Program Fee includes: tuition and trip to Paris (train ticket, hotel, local transportation, and museum/gallery entrance fees).
